Privacy Policy

Nuanced Design ("we," "our," or "us") operates nuanceddesign.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We take your privacy seriously and keep data collection to the bare minimum needed to run a professional design practice.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you provide voluntarily. When you fill out a contact form, send an email to hello@nuanceddesign.com, or schedule a call, you share your name, email address, and any other details you choose to include.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, standard server and analytics tools may log your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and time of visit. We use this data only in aggregate to understand how people discover and navigate the Site.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and project requests.
- To send project-related communications (proposals, invoices, updates). We do not send unsolicited marketing email.
- To improve the Site's content and performance using aggregated, anonymized analytics data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
3. Third-Party Services
The Site may use the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Calendly — for scheduling calls. Data shared is governed by Calendly's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages — for hosting. GitHub may collect server logs per their policy.
- Google Fonts / CDN services — for font delivery. These may log requests; no personal data from you is shared.
4. Cookies
The Site sets only functional, session-based cookies necessary for the site to work (e.g., dark/light mode preference stored in localStorage). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Data Retention
Email correspondence and project-related communications are retained for up to 3 years for record-keeping purposes, then deleted. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form only and cannot identify you individually.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@nuanceddesign.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
