Rancho Bombero
Ranch-born body oil for men — one bottle for skin, beard, and hair, with a storefront built to convert.
OverviewA working man’s grooming brand
Rancho Bombero is an all-in-one body oil for men — crafted for skin, beard, and hair — with a story that starts on a ranch, not in a lab. The product was recently featured in Men’s Health, and the storefront had one job: turn that attention into customers without losing the brand’s character.
The ProblemStand out on a shelf full of sameness
Men’s grooming splits into two clichés: clinical black-and-chrome, or lumberjack kitsch. Rancho Bombero needed a third lane — honest, warm, a little weathered — and an e-commerce experience simple enough to sell a single hero product without feeling thin.
Single-product stores live or die on the product page. Every scroll either builds the ritual or loses the sale.
My RoleBrand to checkout
I built the brand system — palette, type, voice, and photography direction — then designed and developed the Shopify storefront, from landing page narrative to PDP details and the post-purchase flow.
ProcessBottling the ranch
Find the voice
Workshopped the brand’s story — fire, ranch work, end-of-day ritual — into a voice that sells without sounding like a supplement ad.
Build the system
A leather-and-ember palette, serif headlines with hand-finished texture, and photography in real sunlight on real skin.
Design the ritual
The PDP walks skin → beard → hair as one routine, answering objections (greasy? scented? how much?) right where they occur.
Tune for conversion
Shopify build with fast LCP, sticky add-to-cart, subscription option, and a press bar that puts Men’s Health to work.

OutcomeAttention, converted
When the Men’s Health feature landed, the storefront was ready for it — a fast, single-minded product page that turns editorial attention into orders and subscribers. The brand now has a system that can grow past one bottle without redesigning itself.
